Back when I started collecting benefits (about 65 weeks ago) I never imagined that I'd still be unemployed this much later. I still rarely even get interviews these days.

I'm signed up for career training programs, but the waiting list is ridiculous and my benefits might run out before I even begin taking classes.

Anyway, I have a question for those who are knowledgeable on this subject.

I'm currently on tier 4, but when that is over, will EB just seamlessly continue to provide my benefits -- just like the tiers have continued without me having to do anything -- or do I have to apply separately or do anything special for EB?

I just started IL EB and what will happen is that they will send an explanation of benefits along with a eb work search form which has to be faxed or mailed in before you certify with teleserve. If you dont send it in and you certify, your benefits will end. The only thing you have to do is list the places you applied for work and if you had any contact with them. You won't have to do anything because they establish the claim automatically for you.
