Depending on your earnings the week you filed, it is possible CA has found new claim eligibility even though you haven't worked. Q: Did you file late in the week? Did you earn at least $1,300 that week? If so, even though you haven't worked since, you might very well have a valid claim, although it is pretty late in the day for CA to now be discovering this since your bye was 6/8/13. I'm more inclined to think it is a computer glitch. If you receive claim forms for this new claim, then it "may" be for real, although I just read of someone in CA who was wrongly put on EUC and paid 4 weeks' benefits, which was later retracted. She's now in overpayment status.
I think CA may be having computer problems and am suspicious at this point. Try calling CA later in the week - when things settle down for them - to find out what's what.

Yes, b/c CA is paying that EUC off the old claim. So, the 6/8/13 exp. date is correct.
