Default Unemployment Appeal in Kansas

I have an unemployment hearing coming up 1 week from today. I was terminated for "not following through" or following up on something I was supposed to. I feel I did as much as I could with it. I have no prior incidents in my file. I was given no warning or chance to redeem myself. I just don't think it's fair that I was terminated and second, there is no reason not to be allowed unemployment while I look for another job. What I did was considered "misconduct". I did nothing illegal. I did nothing harmful. I was put on suspension while they investigated prior to termination so they had a chance to gather information. I didn't. So how do I gather MY information? Hey do I collect my proof that I DID put together plan and that I DID follow though as much as I could. There wasn't even a company policy in place specifically. I created the plan myself and explained to staff what they needed to do. Did they follow through like they should have? No... Is that my fault as a supervisor? Maybe. But it's not worth denying my unemployment. Termination was enough. So how do I win my case?

First off, stop posting in multiple threads. Get everything consolidated.

If you are this unorganized on a forum, you'll most likely do the same thing at your hearing. Stay focused.

You don't have to prove that you didn't do something. The employer has to prove that you did. Chances are that you did this to yourself. Have you gotten your hearing file yet? What did you tell the UI people vs what did your employer say? I don't want to jump between the various post to figure out just what is really happening to you.
