I just think they are ignoring it for now. NJ is not going to be the only state not to give it to us. I just don't see it. Also one of my friends called Friday and the rep told her everyone will get ur including 59 weekers. We just have to wait a couple if weeks.
If the extended 11 weeks of PEUC is a Federal Program, then shouldn't the guidelines and requirements of the program be the same for all the states? NY has already indicated those who exhausted their benefits weeks ago are eligible for the 11 week extension. I think California too.
So far, NJ UI has not addressed this group of exhausters specifically. It would be nice to know one way or the other.
Read 1st page 4th paragraph.
The upcoming second phase for the expansion of PUA and PEUC will include those who exhausted their claims for these benefits prior to the end of the federal CARES Act but now could become eligible for the new additional 11 weeks of benefits starting with the week of December 27.
While California does not say 59 week exhausters, they say those who exhausted their benefits for PUA and PEUC prior to the program ending which I believe was 12/26.
If the 11 weeks of extensions is a Federal Program, then all the states should be following the same guidelines.

so why do you think nj's wording say "those who exhausted benefits "on or after december 26?"
Just take a look and compare the NYS DOL Twitter account to the NJ DOL Twitter account and the answer is apparent. NY has their act together, NJ doesn't.
There are no new tweets on NJ DOL Twitter since 1/7/21, while NYS DOL Twitter account has 18 tweets since 1/7/21. NY is doing a great job of keeping their people informed.
so I think scrapsmith (who i love and thank him for all his help) has said he re read the guidlines and does think old exhausters are included....so any opinions on when we would get it and will we have to file a new claim if our benefit year expired at the end of 2020?
