Anyone know the current cut off date for UEB? What is the most recent date that UEB is going to stop, if you haven't claimed it and are going into tier 1?

Eligibility for federal extension benefits ends December 31, 2011.

If you have not exhausted all your state benefits by December 31, 2011, you will not be eligible for any of the tier extensions.

In NJ, you will go from Tier III to Tier IV. There are four federal Tiers in total. NJ State Extended Benefits are paid after the Tiers are exhausted if you qualify.

Currently, there is no expiration date for EB benefits in NJ. It is dependent on the UI rate. If an individual exhausts EUC Tier benefits after December 31, 2011, they may be eligible for EB benefits in NJ.

Hey fellow NJ'ers, can you check out the post I started. Maybe one of you will have an answer or input. It is in regard to being on an extension and taking part time work.

Hey, I'm confused. If someone has been on unemployment in N.J. since Oct 2010 and they are still employed how many extensions can they get if still unemployed. Is it one year and then go to the federal extension? Thanks for any clarification.

The initial state benefits (NJ maximum is 26 weeks) must be exhausted before the end of claimant's benefit year in order to qualify for federal benefits. Thereafter, federal benefits. All you need to know is here:

Department of Labor and Workforce Development | Unemployment Benefit Extensions

You are in FL are you not? Are you collecting benefits from NJ?
