I read a similar train of thought in a book once,and it may have been "The Spirits' Book",or "Life after Life" not sure.
In it it stated groups of spirits usually stay together forever.
Case in point that was used as an example was the Kennedy clan.
They seemingly have always been together in human, as well as spiritual form.
I think it was in answer to a question someone posed as to ordinary people associating with people of royalty, once they pass on into the spirit world.
I tend to think that is a possibility, but no one knows for sure.
