I would guess "After Effects". You do know that you can manipulate video just as easily as you can manipulate photographs, right?
The fact that not one other person on that road stopped to look, even seeing these people stopped with a camera on the side of the road, is telling.
My thoughts exactly. The photographer would have made it more believable if they filmed the scene on a less travled road. Since no one else seemed to see what was being filmed would lead one to believe it was added later via an editing program. I have an app on my phone that super imposes a huge mothership on what you're filming, even accounts for camera shake so the craft moves in unison with the surrounding scene. If a simple phone app can do that imaging what a good CGI program on a computer can do.
