Something similar happened to me once. I lied down to bed and I thought that I was still awake, but then I heard the voice of my late grandmother calling my name. I think that I just THOUGHT that I was awake, but had probably already started sleeping (and dreaming). Maybe something similar happened to you, too.
I have had that happen to me several times in the past. It also happened during the daytime when I was by myself in the quiet. Out of nowhere I heard my name being said. Strange phenomenon for sure.
Yes, this has happened to me a couple times. What I experience is strange though, my bed is in a corner of the room, I sleep on my side, if Im facing the wall, I start to hear all sorts of strange sounds, but if Im facing the room, I dont hear anything strange.
I mostly hear, whispering, shuffling of papers, things moving around if Im facing the wall.
I'm more rattled when I'm walking through a dark room and feel my head moving back as though I'm trying to avoid walking into something...or someone.
Not sure if it's clear what I'm talking about - I'm not describing it well.
