Whatever cost it would be there would still be the issue that would last for years of many many RHD cars knocking about.
The thought of the initial confusion of many who have never driven on the right is scary. The vast majority of cars here will initially have the wheel on the 'wrong side'.
I wish it had been unified decades ago.
We're likely to be spending our time divided between Europe and the UK in the future, and we'll have to put up with a compromise one way or the other.
By the way, my driving test back in the 1970s took me across this- that would be fun if and when they changed;
