I noticed a post about Brexit being "Independence Day".
Reminded me of a movie I re-watched a few months ago, The Patriot. But instead of the 13 colonies rebelling (with help from the French) against the British Empire, today we see Brits trying to leave a 21st century empire, ruled by mandarins. (and with the French threatening to punish the rebels).

I always have thought of the UK as being stronger than the rest of the EU. I mean, it's been independent of Europe for what - 1900 years or so? I think the UK will be fine with or without the EU.
