You can all be clannish and ignore my direct truths about EU and departure. I would also throw in that America India and the far east now have business exceeding trillion level. The EU? Dash all. Global is the way forward and the way we need to go rather than stuck in this damn Euro dated thing.
1/5 = a fraction, and the currency devaluation means the assets of all Britons have shrunk by 20%.
And that says more about France than it says about Britain. France has not been performing well for a very long time.
Neither has Germany, indeed their economies are slowing the growth of the EU, The UK actually outgrew France and Germany last year by 0.1% in spite of the disruption caused by BREXIT. Both Germany and France have significant trade surpluses with the UK.
Meanwhile, a fraction of 20% might just be "a fraction" but how well would you manage on only 80% of your income? It's not "a fraction" like 1%, or 5% which is what the term is commonly used for, but it's a sizeable proportion, not something negligible.
Beginning of the end? England used to rule the world ~200 years ago and has been going downhill since. Isn't the breakup of the current UK just a continuation?

Going 'downhill' lol, British people are richer than ever, work less hours than ever and have a higher standard of living than they have ever had, in what way is England 'going downhill'?? You honestly think it was a 'better place' 200 years ago!!?
We're doomed Captain Mainwaring !

Quite often, investors use the magic words themselves. A Seattle-based general manager of Microsoft recently wrote a report explaining that, although news reports might make it seem the whole of the UK is on hold, the tech sector is “thriving – despite Brexit”.
I live in Seattle too, and it may paradoxically allow one to see the UK's strong points more easily than others. One is far removed from the Brexit turmoil, and can be emotionally detached.
