I am going to Ireland this summer to attend classes and i was wanting some advice on where to go. if you could list some things to do, which one you like better and other things.
Honestly, you couldn't go wrong with any of them. Galway is a smaller city..more of a college town feeling since it seems very compact, imo. If it matters, Galway gets more bad weather (but rain vs more rain might not make much of a difference!)
UCC (Cork) is a great city.. it's got a great buzz around the City Center and a great place for shopping and food (The English Market is a fabulous indoor market and has great cheap gourmet food).
UL is also an excellent school. I love the campus..I used to walk along the river and over a newly built bridge to check out the swans! It seems that if you are wanting more of an active campus scene, then this would be a great choice also. It's more low key in terms of being near any action, but very easy to get around the City itself... I like Limerick a lot too (I lived there for a time as well). I'd say there are plenty of parties and that sort of thing happening in the campus housing.
If I were to have the choice, I'd pick Cork. I'm partial to anything relating to food and great shopping though..you won't have any problems finding great pubs whichever city you choose!
Galway is my second favorite place in Ireland behind Dublin. If I were to move back home that would be my place to live. Good scene in the square there.

Another vote for Cork -- hands down. UCC is the most beautiful of Ireland's campuses, in a great section of a wonderful small European city.
Definitely you'll feel great at Galway, a small city with a lot of charm!
