Which southern cities have the best public transit systerms? Which are the worst? (suburban, Dallas)

For U.S Southern standards, public transit in Atlanta is decent (and considering the city's sprawl), & that's the main form of transportation I utilized when I visited in Nov. There's a pretty good subway system but many of the suburban areas are unreachable by public transit, or have their own separate systems that may or may not have connections to Atlanta city transit (Marta) itself. The subway goes to the airport even. However, most of the places one really needs to see, are usually easily accessible through bus/ subway. But I was there for vacation, it's not like I used the system in a daily grind kind of way. And I generally found the transit workers to be particularly helpful, compared to public transit workers in other cities.
I agree with Atlanta having the best although it does need to expand to cover a larger area. Other than Atlanta, I guess Miami would come in second at this point until the others build theirs up.
At the current moment Atlanta has the best system, but Dallas's DART system will be light years ahead of Atlanta's MARTA after they expand it in a few years.
Dallas. DART is nice and it does get you to a few suburbs, more in the future. And there's the Trinity Express to Fort Worth.
And they have a pretty good bus and HOV network (Although i think Houston has the best HOV network). Houston is in desperate need of regional rail though.
Well according to the Civil War era, Washington DC is in the south...so Washington DC ... or you mean the modern south, which hasn't got sucked up by the liberals and Northeast .... not saying its a bad thing ...
I don't know, the South has crappy Public Transit...i think... I never took the public transit anywhere except in Dallas, or DC
