San Antonio rejected light rail by a wide margin a few years back. However, there's talk that it might be brought back on the ballot. The people in charge should probably look at what made DART so successful.

They should. One day Austins light rail could go all the way to SA.
For its size South Florida Transit is abysmal, but in raw numbers it has the 11th highest weekly average in the nation. But I agree, for it's size it's not much. But it's pretty underrated IMHO. Especially with the metro mover that takes you around the whole downtown region. And tri-rail takes you across the WHOLE 3 county South Florida Metro Area 72miles long. Thats pretty BEAST, for a Southern sprawly city. But I dont know whats up with the ridership numbers. They should be waaaaaay higher then they currently are. I remember taking tri-rail as a kid with my mom from West Palm to Little Haiti in Miami(random I know). MARTA is a BEAST and very underrated in MY opinion. So is DART in Dallas. DART is AWESOME. Dallas trasit is gonna be a BEAST in the future. So is Houston. Austin still has a loooong way to go. And SA would be pretty cool. If Austin continues to sprwal Then they should connect Austin and SA.
Charlotte has nice ligth-rail. But it dosent go very far at all(for now). It will continue to grow as more people need public transit.
