I fail to see anything wrong with anything she said about whatever it was that she is talking about.

I recommend all beauty contestants join a Toastmasters club. Much better to practice in front of a supportive group. Then when the cameras are on you'll have lots of experience from answering all the Table topics questions in Toastmasters.

Are you serious? Is this what people in Utah think? BTW, this is not 1973. This young woman completely blanked out. She had no clue what she was talking about.

There is so much to understand, when you say men make more money than women. To expect a young beauty contestant to be able to give an intelligent answer to the question, you would have to have more knowledge than she could possibly know.

Overall men earn more than women. A major cause, is the type of jobs traditionally filled by men, pay more money than the jobs traditionally filled by women.
Maybe in Utah. But clearly it is not a controversial question by any means. It is simply a question, asking, are women discriminated against, meaning are women not getting equal pay for equal work; or is it a matter of men choosing jobs based on salary over personal interest, and women choosing jobs based on their personal interest, over salary. That is all. ---However she chose to answer, it had nothing to do with being politically correct.

Short and succinct.

Too bad she didn't have you as a coach, she may have won.

Wrong, asked the way it was, if one is not politically correct on such a question they will be considered to have blown it.

WTH? This country has been feminized. We no longer teach any defined sexual role. Hell, we don't even teach a defined sexual orientation. According to our fine liberal progressive administrators, there is no real difference between a male and a female. So where you came up with that is beyond most of us.

Steven H, you live in Los Angeles and do not live in Utah so I'm not sure you're really in much position to accurately comment on contemporary Utah culture.

You may believe this. However, you state nothing empirical that would justify this conclusion. The basic problem is that pay discrimination based on sex is perceived of us as a problem by a majority of people outside of Utah. Ms. Utah came across poorly and that is putting it charitably.
