I bought a place in Oxnard its Off Rice Exit and turn right on Latigo where the Fire Department is which then lead to the Seabreeze gated community. Im in the South Gate. I haven't moved in yet, place is in escrow.

Anyway, i'm coming from Thousand Oaks and I work in Westlake. The reason I picked this community because a friend of mine lives near by with his family and he recommends it. I also check out the Oxnard Police Department crime data map and doesn't seem any activity here. I dont have a family, I'm by my self. 30 year old professional. I thought this place offers alot of house for the price comparing to Simi Valley. I can't touch anything decent for the mid $300's in the Conejo Valley area.

If you guys are familiar with this area or this particular gated community of Seabreeze please share some thoughts.

Thanks in advance

Kind of schlep to Westlake; you could take Portrero if the 101 backs up too.
Cooler weather, no A/C required.

One thing that I think about living on the Oxnard Plain is what happens if you lose your job there or in your case Conejo Valley. It's a long drive out to the San Fernando Valley. Hopefully for you there are "Plan B" jobs on the Oxnard Plain.

I saw a sign on the 101 in Agoura Hills indicating Point Mugu and Port Hueneme are hiring; They generally look for scientists and engineers.

Seabreeze is a nicd community. I don't live there but I know the area. I think you'll be just fine.

Great location! You have nearby access to Best Buy, Walmart, Sam's Club, Von's, Fry's Electronics, Costco's. Oxnard is growing rapidly, even in this recession. There will soon be another Fresh & Easy and Walgreens on Gonzales Rd. and Rose Ave.
