Are you looking at it from a casual view, or a professional gamer view?
Casual view you'll have tons of fun wit the game, slight glitches but other then that you'll be fine.
Professional gaming view?
Buggy UI.
Messed up hit detection.
Zombies still double hit.
The fire in zombies glitches sometimes setting you on fire anyway. [ simple hit box detection issue again. ]
I think that the game is a very good starter game to a variety of other games. But if you like not being angry I advise you not to get this game. I played for roughly 10,000 kills. Then i quit, often what i do around call of duty games. Aim for a #kill amount and just quit. Cause the leveling system never stops. Roughly , 1.92k/d and 1.47 w/l .... I didn't bother with game battles, i'd rather play halo 4.

Right now, I'm using the skorpion or the 4 round burst assault rifle (depending on the map). I'm the type of player that can't sit still so I'm always running around, capturing objectives, etc. I'm usually killed by random grenades, campers, or I'm somehow killed in a gun fight when I felt I shot the opposing player more (so I blame the gun or hit detection).

Skorpion shoots too fast for me to be accurate. I use MP7, PDW or Vector (mainly MP7) for SMG and I use the 4-round burst gun or Type 95 for ARs.

I also do what you do Yankees.

I'm thinking of picking it up again. Has the multiplayer gotten any patchs that make it better?

I think it's freakin' AWESOME!!! I love the look and feel of the new maps. I like how in Tranzit, you can move through all of the locations by taking the bus or running through the foggy darkness. Those fog monsters really ***** me off though! But they're good for teleporting, which is one of the reasons I even play in Tranzit mode. It's cool how you can build things to use for protection or to open doors or teleport.

I think their ranking system is a little whacked though. It should go by how WELL someone plays, not by HOW OFTEN they play. But, oh well. I've lost my blue eyes because I haven't played in a couple of days. I'll be online later this evening though and will try to play consistently this weekend when I have time. The fact that I found out there's a second bus that goes to Nuketown has me so psyched!! I can't wait to unlock that so I can see what it's like!

Black ops 2:
positives:
I enjoy most of the maps.
They made enough changes to keep it interesting, but not so many changes that it is a different game.
Kill streak improvements.
Skill level seems to have been balanced out a little bit. The really good players are not so much better than the average players. Somehow the playing field seems to have leveled out a little?

Negatives:
I had Black ops 1 for xbox 360 and PS3. The xbox 360 network seemed to perform better than the PSN network (drops from matches, Not making it into matches, loss of connectivity in the middle of matches). But with Black ops 2 on PS3, I have a lot more network issues than I ever did on Black ops. And at one point, I was running Clear internet service modem, compared to now I use the dreaded Comcast.
Snipers: quick scoping seems to happen a lot, with out even looking down the sights. And just the other day, while watching myself get scoped, the round CLEARLY missed me, and yet I still went down.

Overall, I really enjoy the game, but playing with friends helps a lot, ie; working as a team. When playing solo, my stats drop significantly.

I don't have a problem with the campers, they annoy me, but they never get more than a couple of kills before they die in my games. If I get popped by a camper, I'm coming back for him and unlike some idiots I play with, I'm not going to run through the same door way the camper got me the first time.
One thing that does bother me though, is boosting is still going on. I wish they'd do away with tact insert but it's still in the game. My highest kill streak so far is 26 but that was against a really really terrible clan. They were all kids and not very bright. Had a couple of 20 streaks. Two of those I was popped by my own team mate. Grrrr.
Lag seems to be at an all time high in this one as well.
