Small world. We live on Goose Creek in Floyd County, and far as I know, only one place is for sale by owner and there isn't a SOLD showing up there yet. I'm curious about what you've found in our neck of the woods. Hi Fred, hi Sean......I don't know if you remember me...but I bugged you a lot a few months ago about moving to that area...its nice to see you guys are still on here helping everyone.
You guys are an encyclopedia of info about that place.
I'm still being wishy washy.....I only wanna move ONCE and I'm having a heck of a time deciding. I'm glad you guys are still here so I can lurk and discover new info.

Good luck on your move. I'm loving all these great posts and information! Myself and my husband are planning a move to Floyd in May 2008 and heading down there in mid-March to look at homes in the area. We are torn between Floyd and Franklin county but I think it we may be leaning more towards Floyd.

Did you move to Floyd? Seems it is getting more housing by the day here, and still cold as ever. Nearest Hospital is like an hour away, and good luck finding a community center or free park with a "beach" river access. The hippies are getting old, send more.. and you really need to be aggressive with produce timing and sales locally. Check has festival park coming, thankfully soon!
