As some have noted, it is more of a blue/red thing than a statewide thing. Here in Roanoke, for example, Roanoke County is all for it. Roanoke City refused to even vote on it. And Salem City is still pondering.

Life goes on...though no one has figured out what it really means, and whether it is merely a cathartic symbolic thing or an actual rebellion against the commonwealth. God bless us everyone :/

I was living in red-county Texas when our elected sheriff issued a literal call to arms to defend our county against the Obama-feds who were purportedly planning to invade the Lone Star State. So I've seen it all.

This one now is truly a social media popcorn-munching moment where I have to choose to look away to preserve my sanity.

Tazewell is taking this to the next level and I like their line of thought. I have a VA NG unit near me with several friends serving there. Several are former military members from the military. All have said they and most everyone in their unit has said they will resign the moment the governor tries to mobilize them against the citizens of VA. Now I realize the government would be committing political suicide should they ever try something like this but it is the idea they've even floated the idea.

LOL. Larger numbers for sure but a very small portion of the state. Take NOVA and the Tidewater area out and VA stays red forever.

Common sense, what is this comedy hour? This is going down and libs know it. Just a matter of time as it is unconstitutional. CA voted against gay marriage. Just because "we voted for it" doesn't make it legal.

Well, it doesn’t work that way.

True, but the point he was getting at still stands.

I'm wondering how all this is going to play out in 2020?

Did all these pro-gun voters NOT show up in November and are just waking up now to the reality that the Dems took over (and are about to shove strict gun control down their throats)? Or did they all come out, and in the end didn't have the numbers, and just got their a$$es kicked in the election?

If it's the former, and a big groundswell of conservative voters come out in 2020, it could have interesting implications beyond just state level gun control.

Take out the people who vote against what I think and then I win. What a concept!

I'm well aware of that. But do you really believe that a small portion of the state can wipe out the votes of such a large section?
