So does my M95 in 8 x 56R

BUT they are standard capacity. I imagine a high capacity clip would need a pretty big mag well and be hard to walk with as it would whack every tree in the forest.

These anti-gun laws should be struck down by the court, but that can be a crapshoot.

The politician calling for the National Guard to enforce the confiscation of legally-owned weapons could very well be the start of a civil war.
A civil war? Over firearms ownership??

Don't be foolish.

If it's the former, and a big groundswell of conservative voters come out in 2020, it could have interesting implications beyond just state level gun control.
It's the former; even if Rs did win the popular vote in the state, they didn't come out where it matters.

It's not just conservatives who are pro 2A, and that's a problem for Blackface and the Ds.

There was a similar sentiment over tea and taxes in England in 1773.

Glad that there are those who want to abide by and preserve the constitution and they are mostly those in the more rural areas of America.

I’m also encouraged when seeing the membership of the NRA on the rise since I’m sure it helps to counteract those who want guns taken away from all responsible citizens.

And yet they haven't said a thing about VA.

This has been true grass roots from day one.
The NRA has been silent on "the sanctuary thing" because they're finally realizing their push for preemption laws have bitten themselves in the butt.

Our Revolution and country began because of a tax on tea. This is a case of the government threatening to take constitutionally protected rights away from people, lock them in a cage at gunpoint, or kill them if they fail to submit. And it was one of the gun control supporters who suggested getting the national guard involved in the first place.

imagine the money mapped the same as the property taxes do to schools. It would function more like that. Election processes and a lot of core judiciary functions, the dept of health and other things that most would not like to do without are funded form the general state coffers. If you break it down the new rural state would have to choose what they would do without and would not be attractive to business or people. Not saying that the more populated areas have better politics than the rural areas but when you get into the details the rosy concept of splitting into a poorly funded new state might not be so attractive.
I don't really buy into this line of reasoning. And here's why: urban areas get their wealth by exploiting the resources of rural areas cheaply, and reselling them at higher prices. Cities can't even exist without the resources the rural areas have. Rural areas can exist without the city. A dollar at the end of the day is just a piece of paper with ink on it. You can't eat it or drink it. If, for example, you're hungry and need food, and I have food, but refuse to take the money you offer me for it, you don't have any wealth at all. You're just going to starve.

That and the NRA rally a week before Lobby Day.
Maybe this is actually a good thing.
Esp. if the NRA rally gets few people and Lobby Day is insanely huge.
Would kind of take away the other side's cries of "This is the NRA!!!"
No. This is grassroots.
