I am betting that NW Chinese will come back. You do not let your signature retailers leave. NW Chinese has garnered a lot of attention in the DC restaurant scene and has contributed to the city's reputation as an up-and-coming dining destination. Habenero should be back as well if the city is smart.
There are tons of retail spaces opening up. Discovery Point, which will have space for a signature restaurant, has not even broken ground yet.

Ruby Slipper for brunch. That is the restaurant I'm going to judge Iron Rooster against.
The decor was bland. Very incomplete? You could see a few details left over from Kapnos Taverna - the VERY good Greek themed restaurant that previously occupied that space. Way too conservative for the type of restaurant Iron Rooster is. Hopefully more will go into brightening up the spot to make it a more relaxed brunch spot.

Currently the Iron Rooster closes at 3pm every day. At its liquor board hearing Iron Rooster stated that its future plan was to close at 7 pm every day but Friday and Saturday when it would close at 9pm

Sounds about right for a brunch spot. It's not a diner. I'm surprised it plans to stay open as late as 7pm and 9pm.

New retailers coming to College Park. Some big wins!

Shake Shack is definitely a destination retailer. Congrats College Park and Prince George's County!
Chopt is also a big win. Looking at the DC area locations, the College Park location will be the easternmost outpost of that retailer.
Now, if we can get some executive chef places and not chains, that would be great. Another nice-sized retail space is at lease. Hope it's something unique and tasty.
Duck donuts is a personal favorite of mine. I first discovered them in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Always looked forward to getting their donuts when visiting the outer banks. A nice surprise.
Great diverse options showing up with Dog Haus, Greene Turtle, Shack Shack, Chopt, Nandos, Iron Rooster, GrillMarx, etc. Go College Park!
And we haven't even started on Discovery Point yet which should land a nice restaurant hopefully.
