It doesn't matter to the peace fairies. Our president doesn't really have a clue. The reporters were even stunned and shocked by his responses today... This is nothing new...
Not to take this lightly, but DC is always in the cross-hairs of extremist both domestic and international. This is nothing new, it is just a fact of life of living here.
What should be the proper response to make sure their plans are thwarted? Sending troops in to Iraq was a very unpopular idea just a year ago by both Dems/Reps and Americans in general, now that things are picking up we're using Obama as a scapegoat?

So are people in DC taking these threats seriously?
What should be the proper response to make sure their plans are thwarted?
1: Acknowledgment- We have to acknowledge that we have a threat.
2: Purpose of Role- We have to acknowledge each of our roles. The roles of civilians are to remain vigilant and proactive.
3: Patriotism: Guard our borders, culture, and country as TRUE AMERICANs.
Without any of these, there is no discussion to be had.
With the U.S. being the most militarized nation on earth, most terrorists are too intimidated to attack DC. They will attack NYC, LA, Boston and other cities.. but the assumption is that DC is too secure and the likelihood of a successful attack is low. You can thank TV and movies for that perception.
From the outside.. the U.S. is very intimidating. DC especially. Some of the hate is based on this.

Interesting video. The reality is that we normal people will never have all the facts about situations like this. So our opinions are based on limited information. We know what the media tells us and the media knows what it can pull from sources they "assume" are credible.
Think about how much transparency exists at your job. Even when you are a manager you are in the dark about a lot of things. Now compare that to living in the U.S. as a "regular person". You really think you have a clue? None of us have a clue.
