He should have vetoed the legislation.

BUT....given his belief in global warming....be sure to write him and have him issue a executive order limiting the speed limit in Washington state to 55 MPH!!!

He can do it with just his signature....20% reduction in global warming gases....Instead of Washington state increasing its emission of global warming gases...we will go DOWN!!!

European Union is doing it now!!! Write Jay to get with it and save the planet!!!

Next step....TAX BOEING!!!, but baby steps first.

55 mph speed limit? What year is it? Cars are a lot better than in the 60's.

Don’t think that will happen. If it does it probably would be widely ignored, perhaps even by WSP. The WSP is so budgeted today there would be little chance to really enforce. Politically would be awful for Inslee. Just don’t see it.

QFC stopped using plastic bags about two years ago...but.....when I went there a few month ago and presented my QFC cloth shopping bag the store clerk almost had a fit...she told me to get that off her counter. Seem now only plastic bags are acceptable. The harsh attitude of the store clerk turned me off and I haven't shopped at QFC since.

That is funny..Cars maybe better but a Seattle drivers are not.....Driving on I-5/405 from Tacoma to Seattle if you drove the speed limit you risk your life even in the so-called slow lane.

Its real easy to spot a Seattle driver where I live, they don't realize the speed limit is 55. If driving 55 we expect to be tail gated by those better drivers.

The workaround is to use self-checkout. I use the self-checkout probably 19 out of 20 visits (if not more) and I always bring my own bags. I leave them in the cart until I'm ready to pack up and instead of putting them on the tray with the food I fill them up still in the cart.

I admittedly like the new plastic bags you see in some of the stores.. they are great trash bags But I know they take a long time to break down and reusing the actual food packaging for waste works just fine so I really have no need for this particular single-use plastic.

While I understand this train of thought, I would offer that for grocery stores to continue competitive pricing they will need to cut costs where they can. If self-checkout accomplishes this, then the consumer will ultimately win, in as they will not pay higher prices. Plus, some just prefer it over someone touching their products in today's covid world.

Is getting groceries through a cashier an act of virtue for you? Like how messed up and consumeristic we've become when buying bread and milk becomes a sociopolitical gesture?

Like... Bruh.

Some of us just want a bowl of cornflakes before bed.
