It's coming in from the coast. At 4:00 it was 110 in Elma. Now at 5:54, it's 85.

And it has now in the last 10 minutes or so, dropped to under 100 in both Oakville and McCleary, coming East. It's getting close to me!

Hubby joked that he'd go out on Highway 12 and hold a welcome sign for the cool air, but he's afraid he'd just end up wrecking the whole air mass.

I have now hit a point where I am absolutely enthralled by watching and waiting for temperatures to change on a map.

My social life is not what it used to be.

You have company. I started after I woke up from a nap (early morning soccer game) at 3pm.

We do what we can, right!

I will say Cliff and the other weather predictors sure nailed this one. It has dropped from 109 to 77 in a little over 90 minutes here.

If you're further north and it hasn't hit you yet... IT WILL and it will be wonderful!

Newer forecasts suggest there is a stall for many of us. Confirmed by many commenters on Cliff's most recent post. This morning's forecast predicted 61-62 for our low tomorrow morning. Now it's only 68-69. I think it has to do with the fact that we sustained the high temperatures for about hour and a half to two hours longer than predicted.

Don't get me wrong... we only got down to about 72 this morning and every degree matters. But a three degree difference won't be enough to get the house cool before a reasonable bedtime or, likely, resume our regular living arrangements tomorrow.

I hope you get there...

We'll likely be in the 60s here by bedtime.

It's only about 72 outside right now and still falling.

Whoa!!! That's ridiculous for 10 PM. Sounds like an all time night record.

The good news for Seattle is the high tomorrow is only 90. lol

Whereas here in Vancouver, we're supposed to get to 95 which is still way better than 113 today!!

Never thought I would be happy to see 95 degrees. I'll take 40 degrees and rain over this heat anytime.

Derek

That's insane. I'm sorry.
