15°C in Buxton, about 5.5°C above average, but only the second warmest day of the year so far. We don't share the heat of the south east and midlands thanks to our (crappy) elevation and X-tra cloud cover. Second half of April looking to be really cold.
Ere in the UK most places see their first "warm day" in April-time, here in Buxton though due to our height April is more like a midlands march, may more like april, etc... April 2006's highest temperature here was only 13°C, glad this month isn't following suit (hope the summer does though!).
I remember on this date three years ago I happened to be passing through London and there was snow on the ground in the afternoon, likely the latest snowcover here in my lifetime. Today, very different - 19.6C at 7.45pm after a high of 22.4C pretty much sunshine right through the day, indistinguishable from a summer's day really. I haven't looked it up but it could possibly be the earliest it's got this warm in my lifetime.
