A-/B+.

Highs look great for most of the year!
Lows look decent in summer, and while a bit cooler than I'd like sometimes, still good.

Sunshine is great. Probably could use a bit more summer rain, but overall, good score.

San Jose's climate gets a solid A from me. It has a sunnier climate than San Francisco plus it's warmer overall due to its more inland location.

C+. This is very similar to the climate we have in the Argentine Pampas temperature-wise. I'm used to it, though San José has drier summers, which makes it less oppressive, I guess.

Look at Río Cuarto, Argentina. Very similar temps:
Río Cuarto, Córdoba - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, San José's climate is not bad, but I'd personally prefer cooler temps by 4 or 5 C every month.

B. I don't like the dry summers at all, but the nice temperatures all year just about make up for it. I know it's a sunny climate, but when I once spent a week there, it seemed cloudy most of the time. It must have been the infamous May Grey.

A solid "F" from me: too cold in the winter and too many obnoxious warm spells in the summer. It has the worst weather in the world by far!
