I'm fine with the level of precipiation and the winter temperature. As for the summers I like it when it's hot and steamy, but a average high of 35C is too hot even for me.

I give it a clear D. Its a bordering tropical climate with terrible summers. Winters around 65 F sure are balmy. Why do stores even sell jackets down there when one can wear a t shirt (maybe long sleeves in the winter) year round . Only cold blooded reptiles from south Florida would think the winters in Houston are cold.

You'd probably be glad you had a jacket in Houston when they get a "Blue-Norther" when daytime temps can be in the 30s sometimes. They get occasional snow there as well, but yes overall Houston has terrible winters.

Tallahassee has colder winter nights but similar winter days to Houston. I'd pick Tallahassee in a heartbeat regardless as the chance of snow in either is so slim it is irrelevant.

Houston if I'm not mistaken got snow in early February 2011, and also during December of 2008, and December 2004.

Snow is definitely not likely in Houston, but it occurs a lot more often there than here.

True, cold snaps here pack a bit more punch. It can get down to -10 C here on occasion (last time on January 11, 2010, 5 days earlier on January 6 it got down to -8.8 C as well).

Houston climate is pretty nice but a tad extreme for me. The summer is considerably hotter than Florida and yet the winter is not quite cold-proof enough.

I've always wondered why Tallahassee dosen't get any snow for how cold it can get.

Averaging out the last 130 years...it's about the same...30ish times.
