The nights seem immensely long compared to Paris...lol.
My sleeping schedule is still messed up - I'm awake a lot of the night, and having to take naps in the day time. A full night's sleep seems far out of reach at this time...
Your winter days are far too short for me though..
Don't think I'd like daylight north of 45°, gets too short midwinter, uselessly long midsummer. Latest sunset I'd appreciate is 9:15 pm or so, anything later is a waste. I rather like days from about 6 am to 9 pm in the summer. There's still light before sunrise and after sunset so it's really 5:30 to 9:30 of light. I woke up at 5:30 today, though I wasted some of the morning thinking "wow, it's early. I got plenty of time".

I agree - in Paris, I needed to get to sleep soon after 10, if I wanted a full night's sleep - since I have a hard time sleeping into daylight. If stayed up to midnight, I'd still be awake at six, when it was bright out, and I'd be sleepy. It only took two days to get synced up to the day/night cycle over there - I suspect it'll take longer for me adjust on this end.
I dunno what I'd do if I visited Norway in June (a country I badly want to visit.) Sleep will be as scarce as hen's teep on that trip, I suspect...lol.

Well yes but its not so bad going there. I suppose 5 hours isn't a whole lot but it is a real struggle for me coming home, I just can't get to sleep at a reasonable time.

Sunset in st Johns is only 2 hours and 24 mins after here.
Anyway a bit annoyed as its raining heavy and the lights are on but sunset isn't for another 30 minutes.
