Actually you may not be too far off because this website 14 Day UK Weather Forecast is saying there is a 20% to 30% possiblity that cold air from the Northeast may dive down to Scotland and maybe Castlederg??
But the possiblity is low so don't keep your hopes up.
Currently: 7C clear with some clouds
GFS now showing snow for christmas day aswell as ECM, so we may be on to something. We will see.
This week isn't looking as mild as it could've been, there is a frost forecast for Monday night and a high temperature of 4c on Tuesday.

Ha, snow on christmas day thats going to far or less you live on elevation.
But yes this week looks Ok not too mild but very wet. In fact this week looks so typical. Temps this week for London is around 8c but thats Ok at least its not 10c all week because that will be going overboard.
Buxton looks to be about 6-7 degrees on christmas day, above average. Snow my arse.
