Check out the current (as of September 7th) weather in Spirit River, AB, located in the agricultural Peace River region. This is weather most Americans would associate with winter, but nope, it's only September 7th.

The currently sharp demarcation between warm air ahead of the cold front and Arctic air behind it has led to the unusual (but not rare) situation where some locations in the same province report a humidex and other locations report a windchill.

Currently 27 degrees C in Bassano (south of the cold front) and -1 C in Spirit River (north of the cold front).

Calgary has a forecast high of 2°C for tomorrow, with 5 cm of snow forecast through the day with another 2 cm in the evening. Way too early in the season for my liking!

Thankfully, here on the BC coast we still haven't had a night below 10°C since June

Nice! I wonder when the last snowfall was.

Snow ratios should be near 6:1 for Calgary (heavy wet snow)

This meteorologist says its unusal for this early.

Environment Canada issues special weather statement warning Calgary could see up

Meh. Be patient and enjoy summer while it lasts. You'll get your snow eventually.

Err... No thank you! Think I prefer the cool, but mild 20C (68F) temps where having right now, with unseasonal overcast skies!! Anything's better than sub 10c (50f) temps!!
