Barcelona by a mile !

- Warm summer (NYC & Barcelona) but milder winter in Barcelona

- No snow in Barcelona: Not that I don't like to look at snow but I don't like all the costs associated with snow (part of my property taxes go to plough the snow on highways, road, salt the road, special trucks to cut frozen snow banks, i.e. big chunk of ice and remove it, accidents caused by snow hence my car insurance rate goes up b/c of other people's accidents, replacing snow tires every winter as needed, winterize the house every year, shovel your own walkway & drive way, cars stuck in small streets during heavy snow fall, then it comes spring time we foot the bill for the City to wash the roads ...) That's the costs associated with snow/freezing temperatures.

- Look at those palms trees in Barcelona: What a beautiful scenery that NYC doesn't have it !

It costs even more (property taxes) in Regina or Winnipeg or Saskatoon b/c it's like -40C/-40F. Home owners in the Prairies complained about high property tax bill, well they've got to pay the City to maintain the roads in the -40C/-40F freezer.
Property taxes in Toronto: Just over .5% of the ACTUAL SOLD values (not the accessed values by the City)
Property taxes in the Prairies, say Winnipeg: I was told well over 1% of the property values. Home owners said Winnipeg has the highest property tax bills in Canada.

I vote for Barcelona.

Barcelona. Like the slightly cooler summer, the dry July, and the milder winter. Also, I don't think Sandy or anyone from her family is planning a visit there anytime soon.

That "dromedary" precipitation pattern is pretty weird, and I winder what causes it.

Barcelona by a lightyear. It's not perfect, but the climate is still quite good.

New York is a typical F climate for me - humid summers, cold bitter winters...

New York City for the more diversified weather, tropical like summer with nice lovely short warm rain on some days and beautiful summer thunderstorms.

Truth New York City Central Park, 1981-2010 normals :

In Europa they are not make "specific" normals like NCDC does in "daily monthly normals", therefore It is necessary to compare who is comparable.
In Europa they just calculate the raw average.

Barcelona. A warmer summer lasting from May to October and a beautiful Mediterranean landscape. Everyone knows that US sunshine stats are normally about 200 hours above what they should be compared to the methods used in Europe, so this is another reason why I pick Barcelona, as it is sunnier year round.

Barcelona. Warmer summers and warmer winters.

Easy choice.
