I thought this was interesting that Cape St. James at almost 52N has not recorded a frost yet this winter (coldest so far is 0.4C). I am sure that places in the British Isles can beat this but for North America I find it quite impressive when one considers that places in Florida and California have recorded several frosts so far. In the case of California, I know because I had to scrape frost off my windshield one morning while I was there

^^ not true. The Scilly isles, for a start, have not recorded any freeze last year at all. Ground frost, possibly, but certainly no subzero temperatures.

Tiree in NW Scotland didn't record any freeze at all last winter, at 56.5 degrees north, and it appears to have only recorded one day below freezing last year, in December.

But the Scilly isles are small islands not even attached to Great Britain or Ireland, so really they don't count.

Point is, most places in the British isles have recorded a frost, some even Ice days. I must be on my 20th frost this season.

They do count, as they are part of the British isles. The statement that everywhere in the British Isles has had a frost is incorrect.

According to Wunderground Valentia has recorded 0C this winter. Belmullet, Ireland (54N) has not dropped below 1C so far this winter.
