But here's a look at the Euro12z sounding for White Plains NY in Westchester County.(suburb of NYC) Snowing overnight, Raining later on. Notice the lines go way past the freezing mark and together means moisture.

A look at the 850mb temps around the world and 500mb heights. N.America and Asia benefiting from break off of Polar Vortex.. Whites and Pinks are Coooold .. Aqua Blue is fridgid and we dont see much of that this time of year so its hard to find on the map
The uppers aren't even that cold in Northern Minnesota. Around -13c and here we are having -15c uppers a week ago and only getting -7c. I can never understand that.
