Reached 30C in Writtle, Essex apparently - might as well be on another continent as far as I'm concerned. Haven't seen such a stark temperature contrast for a while.

Well, In northern France the contrast seem to be huge too: from 17°C on the northern cost of Britanny, to 34°C near Paris, 17°C more...

Currently 73°F (23°C) and it's not expected to get much higher... absolutely gorgeous out!

Lows tonight and tomorrow night are supposed to be in the low 40s!

Some places in the northern part of the state have Frost advisories and up in Upstate New York, New Hampshire, and Maine have Freeze Warnings!

WOW... it's very hot out in Europe it seems! Forget about Daily record highs, MONTHLY all-time record highs are falling today! Majority of the records are falling in Europe!

Unofficially, there are currently 42 stations that have broken their daily high record, 15 that are tying it, and 40 that are near it.

OF the 42 records... 19 are monthly records!
