Today it's cloudy, in the low 60s and windy (20-30 mph)... Feels so good after 4 days of 85-95 degree heat. Sitting outside watching the trees sway and enjoying the cooler air.

Large fluctuations are a normal part of spring weather here, or indeed any time of year. If we have a W or SW wind coming over the mountains then it will be warm but any time the wind switches to NE/E/SE we drag in cold vile crud off the north sea.

Current conditions are a perfect example of this. Friday was 7C and rain with a NE wind, today 19.5C and sunny with a SW wind. Forecast is back to 9C and rain by Wednesday as we pick up a north sea flow again.

I can't be done with the cold rubbish but would rather have a cold day and warm day than two days of tepid average conditions.

Spring has the most fluctuating temperatures than any seasons in here. It's like an LA winter - 18C on one day, 28C the next (don't know how they handle it).

I don't mind fluctuating temperatures as long as they are always warm. Below 10C max temps in Spring are bad.

I also don't mind the 20C/5C days with cool nights that we can get in early Spring. Climates with 22C one day, 10C another day, and 2C the next day are not for me thanks!
