Warm front is a relative term. It's just a change on the jet which will steer winds in a different direction, ushering in slightly warmer air.
Still abnormally cold in the Middle East
Major stratospheric warming is developing. Bastardi says this December will wind up coldest since 2000 for the US, but January likely coldest since 1994.

The cold front hasn't arrived we are in the warm sector, the cold front is where those lightning strikes are. There will be sharp continental style drop in temps when the front arrives at 9pm from say 7c to 1c.

Well where I live a warm front usually means a dramatic rise in temperatures.
Got this storm system out of the way now. Haven't caught up on how much this one dropped yet. Did see a posting from the local NWS that their radar is down now due to a hardware failure. Temps aren't too bad today. Sunny and made it to 15F. Calling for -5F tonight. Christmas day looking for a couple inches with another clipper system coming across the lake. I was messing with the night settings on my cell and took a picture last night with the fresh snow down and then today after finally getting it cleaned up and was able to get out and run some errands.
