I imagine this thread is going to go quiet now that trees in mid-latitude areas are probably bare.
Not everywhere, here in the mid latitudes at 44°N we are not even at peak foliage.
Here a video of the aftermath of the St Martin's bora windstorm, on November 11th. Rimini has a fall look but it's still quite "green".
11/15/13. Some small ponds have very thin ice on them near here(Danbury). 4 nights in a row in the 20s(F°) or teens but daytime staying above freezing.
A rare glimpse of sunshine today. It looks weird because my phone is ancient but the low angle of the sun is visible. By solstice it'll be about half that at noon.
No snow yet but today's temperature range was almost normal: -2°C low and 3°C high.
Would be great to visit the Canadian prairies. Never seen anything like that. But I think I'll come in summer...
