Another difficult option. Lima has really nice and livable temperatures but is too gloomy and dry. Cairo has nice sunshine but is too hot for my likings (it is impressive that has 2 C warmer summers than Serres though it is in Africa). Hmmm I think I will choose Cairo for the sunshine.
Cairo, Lima would be nice if it has 1500 more sunshine hours. But it is far far too gloomy, so Cairo wins easily. Summers in Cairo aren't even that brutal, although I am not sure of the wikipedia source for the climate box, as I have read in other places that July averages 37C/23C
Lima temperatures are excellent but it's too cloudy. With the high humidity however, it makes growing things easier than you would think and there are some beautiful areas. Cairo probably a bit too hot although it has a huge sunshine edge. Lima overall.
Both climates are horribly boring. I would contemplate suicide in both climates....
I would take Cairo, reluctantly. At least winters have pleasant temperature and there is some form of variation throughout the year. Horribly sunny though.
Both are among the world's worst climates, as evidenced by their negative scores. But at least Cairo has a warmer season and a cooler season, and about an inch of precipitation per year.
