Rain has begun to let up after moderate to heavy rainfall all night and this morning. Temperatures expected to plummet. We really needed the rain. Forgot what a rainy day was like.

One of those rare occasions where the warmest temperature may be at night. 15C/59F at 6.00 am, but 4C cooler now. It could still warm up yet.
Good to see rain again. Steady light rain over the last 39 hours has given 58mm/2.3 inches so far.
^^^ It wasn't to be. The temperature climbed up to a respectable 20C/68F by 3.30 pm - a 9C rise in two hours. It's amazing what a bit of sun and a SE wind can do.
We had a minimum of -11C at both Chicago airports, but as low as -14C in the suburbs this morning
