I am burning up in this heat, it's not humid so i'm not sweating. But I feel like my skin is on fire everytime I go into the sun. lucky there is a cold front coming so by monday more enjoyable weather returns. not that it matter since I leave on Tuesday to Bucaramanga,Colombia^^.

My last post and this post go together... Sun came out and BOOM. Pop Up Instability storms.

Going to mow the lawn now before they get here. Still sunny here and 64°F. Dewpoint surge to 58°F today

Multiple hits tonight. Lightning strikes WTC tonight. Here's 2 bolts.

I believe NYC has a flash flood warning out. Pouring rain leading to flooding around there.

Another cool cloudy morning here with mist. 4.29" of rain for the month. 14 days this month with some precip.

We have a coastal storm right now moving northeast.

Was in Lower Manhattan just before 8 pm after getting out of a restaurant. We were thinking of going for a long walk. The sky looked ominous but I told my friend we might have a chance, the storm could be going another way and miss us.

Then the sky opened up. Hardest rain I've been out since last year. One wide avenue felt like a flowing stream. The small rolling suitcase bag I was carrying around with got soaked through. The 7 minute subway walk felt rather long, though we ran parts of it. A friend took this photo:

lol. You've become the forum's unexpected storm chaser. lol The cells/rain was almost stationary dropping the liquid but a handy radar loop would of helped the situation. Moving West to East if I remember.. Maybe even moving southwest to northeast.

Just curious...why did you guess the direction? I would think you have a weather app with radar loop you would check.
