The slow snowmelt on saturated snow plus the 3/4" of rain we got a few days back has lead pools of water sitting in fields, a few country roads have narrowed with water. I should post some photos.

WOW! EURO12z just out... Here's the qpf amounts for these locations it produced:

NYC: 0.59".
Danbury, CT: 0.48".
Hartford, CT: 0.45"
Providence, RI: 1.00"
Nantucket, MA: 2.09"!
Boston, MA: 0.77"
Concord, NH: 0.28"

And Here's the raw data from the Euro12z for Nantucket and Hartford.

Man those 850mb temps are cold for this time of yr! Look at Nantucket! If the 2.09" is all snow that's gotta be historic.

After a hint of spring for the past two weeks we've had a return to wintry weather here. Nothing terribly severe (record low for today is -31.2C) but certainly annoying nonetheless as I had hoped things had turned the corner for good.

I'm not liking this long range model for the summer in the US.... (Europe looks warm)

and even this coming fall

^^

At least this is contradictory to the Euro long range which probably has better skill that far out.

62°F here. Winds gusting to 20mph all day feels great! Now this is the March afternoon we've been familiar with in recent years. LOL

Current temps. Taunton, MA is the furthest north 60°F is based on Climo sites alone.

Baltimore(MTN) 70°.
DC 72°

Polar injection on the way here you can see where it is right now.

I know you all love these water vapor maps.

I circled where the Polar disturbance is right now. That will dive down and merge with the coastal storm. (Phase)

Low hasn't even formed in Gulf yet. Timing is amazing to see with everything!

That huge storm south of Alaska might have a little play too. Not sure actually. Maybe some moisture but not the big player in all this. Notice its going south. Not west.

While the polar disturbance is diving south towards U.S. That's what we're waiting for. models to get more data from. Until its in southern Canada, models do not have true data from area circled so the solutions they are producing wont be too detailed.

Strong signals we'll string together several spring-like days during the 1st week of April. Jet stream changes
