Obviously good.. it means that people are having fun. It doesn't just mean there are more parties, alcohol etc, it is also about satisfaction of lectures and seminars, student events, societies, costs etc.
Lol there was a 'University sex ranking list' that I saw last year in our student paper and our uni came 10th or something in the UK.. half the people that are quizzed most likely lie though, so not reliable I am guessing.
They are a bit of a myth really. You can't usually hear neighbours having parties, and your housemates will most likely be accepting and not be so noisy if you don't want to join in
Wherever I'm going to uni i'm gonna try and get a large kind of small sharing accomodation so that parties are reduced. I don't like the ide aof living with a whole tone of people anywya.
You get your own space and plenty of it in student accommodation anyway. You can easily stay in your room if you don't want to see people.
You would be missing out on the best part of university if you did that IMO
