Fall is quickly transitioning into winter here. Okay...not a real Minnesota winter, but anywhere else outside the Midwest and Rockies, one could say that. This was the first snow of the season spotted:

The precipitation resumed at night and was heavy liquid in low-lying West Duluth while it was much the same here on the hill.

Nice! Yeah, that snow is moving more and more southeast. Very close to Chicago now.

Current Radar. OBS from Dekalb, IL. Wind chill of 25F and snowing lightly.

Take a look. The Arctic "bleed down" of the below freezing temps at 850mb level is the lowest over the U.S
