Oh please, 3333333333333 and 333333 are clearly different accounts and not related to each other!

I think I'm going to give another vote for Atlanta. Melbourne's warmer winters don't offset the cool for Australia summers enough. It's too bad that Atlanta gets such cold blasts in the winter.

There seems to be a strange misconception that Australia has cool summers. I believe this is propagated by the fact that its two largest cities are located in the coolest part of the continent.

In fact, vast areas of Australia have average summer maximums in excess of 36C.

Moreover, the tropical latitudes ensure that the hot weather lasts much longer: roughly half of Australia has an average annual maximum in excess of 30C and very large areas in excess of 33C. By way of comparison, Atlanta's annual average max is 22C, Miami Beach is 27C, and Death Valley about 33C.

So while it's true Melbourne's summers are relatively cool, that cannot be generalized to Australia.

I never thought Australia had cool summers in general. and 25-26c that Sydney and Melbourne have on average in January is not cool, I'd consider that warm. It's just Hobart witch has a relatively cooler summer, but I'd still say it's quite warm in summer... Like Aus is 90% desert and the hottest continent on earth so who's calling it cool?

My bad! When gordo said this:

I read this:

Note the missing "for". Oops.

Nothing to see here, move on.

Definitely wouldn't call Hobart quite warm in the summer, daily max barely cracks 70°F, that's definitely cool for summer outside of high latitude regions, not just desert areas.

If it's warm enough to wear t-shirts and shorts, and warm enough to sunbathe in... then it's still warm enough... Though 21.7c being warm is subjective depending on what people are used to at the end of the day
