Bermuda at 32 degrees is only medium subtropical in my book.
Do not be deceived by its latitude: Bermuda is far warmer than "medium" subtropical.

Its mean annual temperature is 22C, a little warmer than Brisbane and far warmer than Newcastle. In fact, Bermuda's mean annual temperature is warmer than Newcastle's average maximum temperature. In summer Bermuda's minimumtemperatures are only about 1C cooler than Newcastle's summer maximum temperatures.

Bermuda can grow tropical vegetation that cannot be grown in Newcastle:

So no, Bermuda is not medium subtropical, it's borderline tropical as this thread is discussing.

Coconut palms in Bermuda do produce fruit, they just do not always ripen fully, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't...

My point was that you cannot grow coconuts at all in Newcastle.

BTW, what's meant by full maturation? This tree has fruit on it. Do the fruit form but fail to mature?

Bermuda is an odd climate for its latitude. Probably one of the furthest north locations where Coconut palms grow well.

Miami Int'l hasn't hit below 70 F at any point this December. Very weird for a so-called subtropical climate.

also lows in the 40s in NOVEMBER in some Miami Metro Area locales would be very weird for a so-called tropical climate right?
