Reno and Phoenix 200 pct for season. Southern California seems to be a bigger winner than farther north in the state.

Oakland and SF just about average to date. https://www.cnrfc.noaa.gov/awipsProducts/RNOWRKCLI.php

As California gets pounded by storm after storm, the PNW gets left behind.

Portland has had less rainfall than Los Angeles this year. Even Susanville, a town in the NE CA high desert that averages 13.5" of rain per year, has had more rainfall than Portland this year.

Well 1" of rain expected for Sacramento and 2" of rain expected for Redding. The Sacramento total is impressive for mid May, it usually should be drying out there by now. May rains are not uncommon in Redding.

It more about the pattern rather than location.

Jet stream digging down but the storm track is staying north more. South coast should get some clouds and rain though not as much as points north
