Just got missed a big thunderstorm that went to our north damn it.

Yeah that makes no sense.
Although sometimes there has to be a stretch to make it even, like in the NBA Memphis and New Orleans are in the western conference since there are more teams on the east coast.

I might have 1 or 2 30s left to go. 40s/60s is the theme for me now.
Just noticed that even with winds from the north (i.e. not the ocean) I still got colder than you last night.

I'm familiar with how to accurately get air temp but how about soil?
Does it need to be in shade? Is it an average of night and day temp? (If so then 50 seems to be it). How deep? I was only 4 inches down.
When I stuck the probe down 2 more inches I saw the temp dropping to mid 50s.
Todays soil temp 0-10cm down.
Northeast closeup 8pm tonight
If that's the case my soil is indeed in the 50s during the day.. my plants should be ready to go next week. 1-2 weeks early. Cool.
last year soil was in the 30s in April.
Guess the Long deep Snowpack does incredible things for soil!
Do they have any maps indicating moisture of the soil?
Soil moisture by volume. They have up to 200cm. I never looked or followed this indicator so can't comment much on it. I wonder how its derived with the results.

Bloody Icelandic/Scandinavian low.. some heat building in Spain, Italy and southern France next week, but we will be getting cool easterlies if this verifies.. still over a week away though. Other models seem to hint at the UK getting some warmer weather after Saturday..
