UPDATE!: LOW OF 49.3 ON 12/11/14. So for the 2014-2015 "winter" here in south florida I wanted to make a thread documenting our lows(30s) (40s) and (50s). As well as our warm lows (70s). I also will include highs in the (40s) (50s) and (60s) as well as those in the (80s) and (90s) I am using statistics from november first untill march 31st. The weather lows and highs will be taken from my (unofficial) backyard weather station in key biscayne fl.

For reference if a low in in the 40s it will count as both 50s and 40s. Same for highs in the 90s

COLD COLD WARM WARM

Minimums. Maximums. Minimums. Maximums

Lows in the 30s:0 Highs in the 40s:0 Lows in the 70s:13 Highs in the 80s:12

Lows in the 40s:3 Highs in the 50s:0. Highs in the 90s: 0

Lows in the 50s:9 Highs in the 60s: 2

Lowest (so far): 49.3 Lowest (so far): 65.2 Highest(so far): 76. Highest (so far): 84

Please discuss below.

Woke up at 7 am with temps at 44f in cutler bay half a mile from the coast, I wonder how much colder it was in homestead or Kendall.

I guess a lot has to do with tree coverage, how close you are to the coast, in your case you are surrounded by water on key Biscayne, and I guess each area has it's own micro climate.

I seriously don't understand why people still use WU for observations. Guess the word hasn't gone out enough.

Fortunately they have an option to turn it off and see only official conditions.
