Just checked the met office, Heathrow was up to 34.5C at 11am! that cloud that appeared for 2 hours ruined it, it dropped to 32C but the sun is back out now so there's still a chance of 36C maybe slightly higher at a push.. Northolt is still above 35C too so I reckon there is a chance of a record breaker

Northolt was at 33C at the last update at 14:00. I doubt it's 35C yet.
In Turin it's 34.3°C right now. For once I'm happy to live on the Alps, here it's "just" 27.5°C.
I'm a little bit surprised to see that the weather station in Turin has recorded more than 34°C, because the weather forecast predicted "just "30°C as high temperature for today in Turin.
Cooler than much of the UK here today & strangely the exact same maximum for the 3rd day in a row...
