I live a mountain farm in iceland and it has been -38.8 since mid december its really cold the record for my farm was - 58,3C and its was recorded last winter. This winter we had 1,8 meters of snow
Official low so far from Luqa Airport is 2.1C, on January 1st, which is the lowest temperature recorded there for some time & just 0.6C higher than the record low!
In my own back yard lowest so far has been 6.0C, also on January 1st. As I live on the northern coast the cold winds were tempered by the still relatively warm sea here, but the airport is inland in the southern part of the Island...
19.4 F/-7 C. Set on Jan. 8, 2015. That'll probably be our low of the season. There's almost always that one cold snap every winter that pulls my area down to roughly 20 F.
